Thus far, I have authored two peer-reviewed articles. See the references below.

In What Time is Not, I discuss a short but equally obscure passage of Plato's Timaeus which had a significant impact on ancient Neoplatonists' concepts of time. Within this passage (37d5-7), Plato describes the generation of time and the heavens. The interpretations of Plotinus and Simplicius, as I show, substantially differ, shedding light on the complexity of this text. Some of the interpretative challenges perplexing contemporary scholars were prefigured within the late ancient debate.

In Aristotle’s “Now” and the Definition of Time, I discuss the puzzles Aristotle sets out in Physics IV.10 (217b30–218a30). While modern scholars read these lines as  aporetic preluding Aristotle's own account, Simplicius’ alternative interpretation draws upon the theory of proof and the syllogistic model from the Posterior Analytics. In evaluating Simplicius’ interpretation, this paper addresses two key aspects of the exegesis of IV.10: firstly, Simplicius can show why the “Now” is not part of the definition of time, and secondly, the ancient commentator underscores the close connection between the arguments in Physics IV.10 and the broader context of Aristotle’s discussion of time. Modern interpreters fail to address both of these issues.
